Mr Karim Traoré, Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, HE Robert Beugré MAMBE, President of the CNFCI, officially launched the second edition of the international forum, Abidjan Border Forum 2024, on behalf of the Prime Minister on Tuesday 10 September 2024 in the auditorium of the Office of the Prime Minister.
During the ceremony, which was attended by a host of personalities from national and international institutions, the forum’s general commissioner, Mr Diakalidia Konaté, outlined the main features of this pan-African meeting of border stakeholders, and invited partners, promoters and advertisers to take an active part in the event.
For her part, the Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Ms Josephine Charlotte M. Kala, reiterated the African Union’s commitment to supporting this forum through its co-organisation with the State of Côte d’Ivoire, through its National Borders Commission (CNFCI).
As for the Prime Minister’s Director of Cabinet, while underlining the Ivorian government’s efforts to improve the governance of Ivorian borders, he reaffirmed his commitment to making this forum a success and another great opportunity to bring Africa together on the banks of the Ebrié Lagoon.
As a reminder, this second edition is scheduled for 23 to 25 October 2024, at the Parc des Expositions in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, on the theme: « Green borders: between shared natural resources and security challenges ».
